Job Title: Senior Laboratory Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory executive to oversee our Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various laboratory animals, overseeing blood collection, anesthesia, and necropsy examination.

Key Responsibilities:

The laboratory executive will be responsible for:

  • Planning and executing blood collection from laboratory animals;
  • Monitoring anesthesia and euthanasia of laboratory animals;
  • Preparing and conducting necropsy examination of laboratory animals;
  • Conducting and monitoring tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining of various studies;
  • Histopathological slide reading for toxicity and efficacy studies;
  • Monitoring histopathological slide preparation;
  • Slide reading and histopathological report preparation of various pre-clinical studies as a study pathologist;
  • Conducting and monitoring clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters & urine analysis;
  • Implementing and maintaining high standard quality control checks for in-house biochemical analysis;
  • Preparing SOPs related to pathology area;
  • Controlling and supervising the maintenance and operation of various histopathology-related instruments;
  • Reviewing in-house test results.

Additonal Responsibilities:

The laboratory executive will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the availability of required chemicals and materials for projects;
  • RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports, and study audits;
  • Planning and execution of health monitoring of animal and employee;
  • Collection of samples, analysis/dispatch of samples for various analyses;
  • Preparation and execution of calibration schedules for pathology-related equipment;
  • Preparation and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for pathology lab-related equipment.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong background in laboratory management, with experience in overseeing laboratory animals, blood collection, and necropsy examination. You should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
