Key Responsibilities

  • Lab Operations Management: Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate analysis and efficient testing procedures.
  • Research and Development: Conduct studies on soil, water, and product biodegradation in marine, soil, compost, and anaerobic environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Address technical issues that arise from routine analysis and collaborate with the Head of Lab on critical problems.
  • Lab Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule lab assignments for analysts and lab technicians.
  • Data Analysis: Compile and verify data resulting from lab testing, maintaining accurate records for customer quality control samples.
  • Quality Control: Analyze and compile quality control sample results to ensure accuracy and operating efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Train laboratory analysts and maintain their skills.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Control lab equipment and supply inventory, performing calibrations and maintenance as scheduled.
  • Leadership: Serve as a second line to the Laboratory Manager in their absence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters Degree: In Micro/ Biochem / Biotech
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the service industry.
