Senior Tester Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tester to join our team and contribute to our ongoing growth.

This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as effective communication and collaboration skills.

  • 8-10 years of experience in creating test cases, executing tests, reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers.
  • Manual Testing experience of 5+ years.
  • Experience with testing RESTful Web services API automation using REST Assured is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven, CICD Tools.
  • Testing of Cloud-hosted applications and customer-facing applications.
  • Prior experience in the Payments industry is desired but not essential.
  • Experience in creating test automation for APIs, single or multiple microservices.
  • Experience in building test scripts for test automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC.
  • Excellent technical skills including SQL and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with Nodes/JavaScript or other relevant languages.
  • Extensive API test experience.

To succeed in this role, you will need to adopt leading practices for both custom software and package software, with a focus on testing processes for continuous improvement and automation. You should be able to apply quality management principles and practices to work with users, testers, developers, and other stakeholders to discover problems, defects, and related exceptions. Your goal will be to analyze the root cause issue(s) and corresponding mitigation steps to resolve.

  • You will create, maintain, and execute test cases/suites as well as analyze results.
  • You will be experienced in defect resolution and defect burn-down across all related parties.
  • You will be adept at removing blocking issues to ensure progress, pace, and velocity needs are met.
  • You will manage and prioritize functional and technical backlogs and defect burn-downs effectively.
  • You will possess thorough technical, analytical, and operational knowledge within the QA area.
  • You will perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
  • You will work autonomously and collaboratively with in and across multiple teams.
  • You will have experience with agile development methodologies.

Please note that strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. Additionally, a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices is required.
