Job Summary

The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the administration and maintenance of AEM environments, ensuring regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. This role involves managing user access, permissions, and security configurations, collaborating with development teams to support deployments, patches, and upgrades, as well as implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for AEM deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain AEM environments on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Perform routine system monitoring, optimize performance, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Control user access, configure permissions, and secure configurations.
  • Work closely with development teams to support deployment activities, patches, and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AEM deployments.
  • Monitor and enhance AEM performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Support migration efforts from on-premises to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) or hybrid models.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support and incident resolution when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience administering Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including author/publish instances, dispatcher, and replication agents.
  • Experience working with AEM on-premise and AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins, Git, Adobe Cloud Manager.
  • Understanding of web technologies (Apache, HTTP, SSL, CDN, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, e.g., New Relic, Splunk, Datadog.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Tools and Technologies:

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, SSL, etc.
  • Experience with IT Service Management tools and process.
  • Experience with source control tools, especially Git.
  • Experience with Monitoring and Logging tools, including Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk.
