Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

The Senior Accountant AP/AR will play a vital role in managing the company's financial transactions and ensuring accurate payments are made to customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate customer invoices accurately and on time, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on outstanding payments efficiently.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues effectively.
  • Process customer payments, apply cash receipts, and maintain precise records to support cash flow forecasting and management.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify doubtful debts and prepare provisions accordingly.
  • Process invoices accurately and timely, verifying appropriate approvals and coding, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely receipt of goods and services, monitor vendor payment terms to optimize working capital, and create vendor master management.
  • Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers, and maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and documentation.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable and receivable, prepare financial reports and analysis on payables/receivables aging, cash flow, and other relevant metrics, and support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable roles, with strong working knowledge of reconciliation processes (GR/IR, intercompany, and vendor/customer Ledgers).
  • Experience with tax compliance in AP/AR (e.g., GST/VAT), strong analytical and data entry experience, outstanding communication skills, and strong ERP systems and computer skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and work coordination skills, ability to pick up new systems and processes quickly.
