We're looking for a skilled data professional to drive our Data/AI Practice forward. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in SQL, big data processing, and modern data platforms to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and continuously improve data pipelines for large-scale structured and unstructured datasets using SQL and modern big data frameworks.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes, working closely with architects and governance leads to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance.
  • Apply big data processing concepts (e.g., partitioning, distributed compute, streaming/batch data flows) to optimize data workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build robust data models that meet business needs.
  • Contribute to assessments and adoption of new vendor/platform solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Prior experience in leading data engineering projects from inception to delivery, with effective communication skills to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (queries, optimization, stored procedures), as well as fluency in data modeling principles.
  • Solid understanding of big data processing (distributed computing, Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake concepts, data partitioning, schema evolution).
  • Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Fabric.
  • Knowledge of data governance tools (e.g., Purview, Collibra) and data cataloguing concepts.
  • Exposure to DevOps/MLOps practices (CI/CD, Git, automation tools).
