Executive Housekeeper Manager

Job Overview:

This senior role is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations in a hotel or resort setting. The Executive Housekeeper Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc., after cleaning by housekeeping staff to ensure quality standards.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Assist housekeeping management in managing daily activities, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between housekeeping, engineering, front office, and laundry departments.
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the front desk.
  • Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
  • Communicate issues to the next shift.
  • Complete required paperwork and ensure adherence to company policies and safety/security procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • At least 1 year of related work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
