We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with expertise in Data Engineering and Reporting solutions to support enterprise data initiatives.
This role combines hands-on data engineering and ETL development with business intelligence and power BI reporting delivery, ensuring timely and accurate insights for business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI, capable of building scalable data pipelines while developing high-quality dashboards and reports that enable better decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Design, Develop, and Publish: Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and self-service datasets.
- Data Modeling: Implement tailored data models (star schema, snowflake, data marts) for reporting.
- Reusable Measures: Create DAX measures, Power Query (M) transformations, and semantic layers.
- Governance and Security: Ensure reports and dashboards follow best practices.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Support business teams with report automation.
- ETL Development: Maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to load and transform data into data warehouses and marts.
- Data Quality and Performance: Work with onsite data architects and engineers to ensure data quality and performance.
- Optimized Queries: Build optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Data Integration: Support integration of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data into reporting environments.
- Collaboration and Delivery: Work closely with onsite leads, data architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Status Updates and Knowledge Transfer: Provide status updates, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure alignment with enterprise BI initiatives.
- Consistent Coding Standards: Collaborate with offshore team members to maintain consistent coding standards and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the automation of reporting workflows.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 6–9 years of experience in Data Engineering & Business Intelligence.
- Strong hands-on skills in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Power BI Service).
- Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS (ETL development).
- Knowledge of data modeling principles (dimensional, normalized, denormalized).
- Experience working in an offshore delivery model with global teams.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
- Familiarity with data governance and security models in Power BI.
