Sports Content Editor Job Description

Our sports content editor will edit and publish articles on various sports topics, ensuring high-quality content that engages readers.

The ideal candidate has a strong command of the English language, experience in sports content editing, and a passion for storytelling. They will work closely with our team of writers and editors to refine and elevate the content we publish.

  • Edit and publish 18-20 articles daily, maintaining high editorial standards.
  • Ensure all articles are fact-checked, well-researched, and engaging.
  • Fine-tune content to enhance its impact and relevance.
  • Work with the CQ team to continuously improve content quality.
  • Mentor junior writers and contribute to their growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with breaking news and events to deliver timely content.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a related field.
  • 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor junior writers.
  • A basic understanding of SEO principles.
  • Possess a deep understanding of American culture and sports.
