Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Production Support Engineer to join our team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing our production systems, requiring strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. They will be responsible for solving critical customer/field technical escalations, working closely with the Engineering team to develop solutions for customer reported problems, and participating in daily scrum meetings to update the development team about the ongoing escalation and their statuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use technical and analytical skills to solve critical customer/field technical escalations from our Support, Professional Services, Sales, and Pre-Sales teams.
  • Work along with the Engineering team to develop solutions for customer reported problems.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings to update the development team about the ongoing escalation and their statuses.
  • Own highly technical customer escalations with clear expectations and timelines.
  • Build tools and techniques to help with root cause analysis using the data available on platform and by digging deep into code base.
  • Reduce time to resolve product issues by fixing them as needed after RCA.
  • Provide timely updates to issue reporting teams to improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Work with Product management team to identify and implement backlog requirements which could add value to product.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years' experience in technical product support type role. Preferably in escalations team.
  • Experience working as L3 escalation engineer taking care of complex customer issues.
  • Software development experience using Java technologies.
  • Good understanding and working experience of MySQL/MariaDB/RDBMS and database concepts.
  • Good understanding and working experience of Microservice architecture environments on AWS.
  • Experience troubleshooting and helping with root cause analysis for customer/support/field reported issue.
  • Passion, curiosity, integrity, and outstanding attention to detail while performing tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
