Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to work as part of a design team, focusing on production and collaboration with stakeholders.

This involves taking charge of project design work, ensuring all designs meet required standards and quality expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Executing discipline designs in accordance with established standards and timelines.
  • Collaborating with technical staff regarding project requirements and deliverables.
  • Reviewing and validating all designs to ensure compliance with industry norms.
  • Supporting the submission process for projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Staying updated with relevant technical developments within the field.
  • Understanding contract terms and scope of project deliverables.
  • Embedding Health & Safety protocols into daily work practices, aligned with company policies.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing regular updates on work progress, including potential risks or concerns, to the line manager.
  • Participating in team and project meetings as required.
  • Contributing to the achievement of business unit strategy, including supporting sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) and Project Lifecycle compliance across teams and projects.
  • Completing accurate timesheets by set deadlines.
  • Offering feedback on business development opportunities.

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Proven experience in designing public health Building Services systems.
  • Proficiency in PHE System software.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong client relationships and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of project delivery.
