Accounts Receivable Manager

The primary function of the accounts receivable manager is to oversee and direct all aspects of an organization's accounts receivable operations.

  • Develop strategic plans for managing outstanding debts and monitoring cash flow.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely collection of payments and resolve any billing-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Implement processes to maintain accurate records of all collection activities and analyze delinquent accounts to determine effective strategies for reducing bad debt.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices and adapt procedures accordingly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree may be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to accounts receivable and collections.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practices.
