Senior Network Engineer Position

Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Consulting (Juniper/Aruba)

Reporting To: Senior Manager

People: Matrix management of network engineering team members.

  • Design and implement complex network infrastructure for customers, supporting WAN, LAN, WLAN on a multi-vendor network consisting primarily of Juniper, Aruba, Mist, with some Cradlepoint & Cisco.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for the implementation of customer networks, including change approval processes.
  • Support and coach other engineers in the team at a technical level to provide high-quality services and solutions to customers.
  • Lead and assist in defining strategies to enable delivery of complex projects.
  • Manage project deliverables for complex customer design and implementation projects.
  • Perform advanced analysis on complex incidents and act as escalation engineer for internal organizations and clients.
  • Provide fourth-level support for Operations as part of the 'Incident and Problem Management Process'.
  • Develop processes for other engineers to follow to successfully deliver solutions.
  • Lead and own projects and small teams of engineers, driving projects to successful conclusions.

Education/Training Experience Other

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more technical certifications at associate or professional levels related to product portfolio areas.
  • Technical knowledge and experience to Juniper JNCIP or JNCIE level with focus on WAN, LAN, WLAN.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Aruba Central, Aruba switches and Aruba WLAN highly beneficial.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Mist dashboard and WLAN is also highly beneficial.
  • Technical knowledge and experience to Cisco CCNP or CCIE level on WAN & LAN beneficial.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.

Experience

  • 8+ years of technical experience in designing and implementing large-scale customer networks.
  • Experience within international companies would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and adapt to various time zones.
  • Capacity to give guidance and coaching to other engineers at a technical level.
