About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing strategic legal guidance to senior stakeholders on optimizing debt management processes.

Key responsibilities include advising on legal strategies, overseeing and resolving debt-related disputes, conducting in-depth legal research, and working with internal teams to create practical solutions.

  • Advise senior stakeholders on legal strategies for optimizing debt management processes, ensuring they are ethical, compliant, and scalable.
  • Oversee and resolve debt-related disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel when required.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support litigation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Work with internal business, compliance, and legal teams to create practical solutions aligned with business goals.

Must Haves

  • 8+ years experience in litigation processes, civil procedure, and relevant laws and regulations in India, with prior experience in debt management in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to develop and execute effective legal strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex legal issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Good industry relationships with peers handling debt recovery in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies highly desirable.
