Travel and Expense Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Travel and Expense Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our Global Travel and Expense team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of expense reports.

The successful candidate will have the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough audits of expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform completeness and accuracy checks on expense submissions to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of our travel and expense policies and procedures.
  • Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees and corporate card holders, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with preparing detailed reports, dashboards, and quarterly reviews to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with global accounting teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data and documentation.
  • Participate in cross-functional calls and meetings as required to stay informed and aligned with business priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong understanding of T&E processes and SAP Concur system integration with other platforms (Oracle, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.
  • Commerce graduate or master's degree with 5-7 years of T&E experience; Appzen exposure is a plus.
  • Good accounting knowledge, especially in shared service center environments.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Outlook, dashboards, and analytics tools such as Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and flexible approach.
