Job Title: Sales Officers

We are a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, and our client is a leading FMCG company with a head office in Colombo. They are the number one company in their industry and have recently expanded their distribution channels to India, seeking sales officers to join their sales team.

Job Role:
  • Build and Maintain Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with assigned distributors to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with Distributors: Work closely with distributors to increase primary order volume and expand reach to new retailers.
  • Assist Distributors in Achieving Sales Targets: Provide ongoing support to distributors to help them achieve sales targets.
  • Call Retailers Daily: Make daily calls to 25 retailers, including standalone supermarkets and large retailers.
  • Effectively Present and Close Deals: Present and close deals to secure product orders.
  • Manage and Track Sales Territory: Manage and track assigned sales territory to ensure product availability and prime shelf placement.
  • Implement and Monitor POS Materials: Implement and monitor Point-of-Sale (POS) materials to enhance brand visibility at retail outlets.
  • Monitor Stock Rotation and Freshness: Monitor stock rotation and freshness to ensure product quality and timely replenishment.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Achieve assigned primary and secondary sales targets within the defined territory.
  • Track and Report Sales Performance Metrics: Regularly track and report on sales performance metrics.
  • Identify and Recruit Potential Distributors: Identify and recruit potential distributors with 3-5 years of experience managing similar channels.
  • Onboard and Train New Distributors: Onboard and train new distributors to ensure effective partnership and product representation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of at least 3 years in sales roles within the FMCG industry, preferably in the food sector.
  • Strong Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Sound Understanding of Distributor Management: Sound understanding of distributor management and retail sales operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with sales tracking software.
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
