Senior UAV Systems Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UAV Systems Lead to join our team.

About the Role:

The Senior UAV Systems Lead will be responsible for leading the development, integration, and deployment of UAV platforms for AI-powered defense and surveillance solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and scale our UAV capability from prototype to operational deployment.

  • Lead the design, integration, and testing of UAV systems from concept to delivery.
  • Architect UAV platforms with flight controllers, payloads, and secure communications.
  • Oversee the development of software and hardware components, including mission planning and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers on system-level architecture and performance optimization.
  • Establish and enforce technical standards, protocols, and procedures for UAV systems.
  • Define multi-drone coordination, handoff, and scaling strategies.
  • Build and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and researchers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Own UAV program strategy, roadmap, and execution.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years in UAV/avionics/robotics engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in aerodynamics, propulsion systems, and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with quad/hex/octocopters, fixed-wing, and other types of UAVs.
  • Knowledge of EO/IR gimbals, lidar, radars, sensors, and other payload technologies.
  • Strong grasp of systems engineering, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and cloud-based services.
  • Familiarity with Python, C++, Java, or other programming languages.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
