About this role

This is a high-level position within the jewellery industry responsible for merchandising gold and diamond products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product development, vendor management, and market analysis.

Key responsibilities include conceptualizing and developing new collections, ensuring alignment with cost and commercial viability, and driving timely launches and innovative assortments.

  • Product Merchandising & Development
    • Develop gold and diamond jewellery collections based on trends and market insights.
    • Ensure alignment of design aesthetics with cost and commercial viability.
    • Drive timely launches and innovative assortments for seasonal and festive periods.
  • Buying & Vendor Management
    • Source and negotiate with vendors to optimize cost, quality, and timelines.
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards and ethical sourcing practices.
    • Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance regularly.
  • Inventory Planning & Sales Support
    • Monitor stock levels, sell-through rates, and category performance.
    • Optimize inventory across channels to maximize profitability.
    • Implement stock rotation strategies to minimize dead stock.
  • Market Research & Trend Analysis
    • Track competitor collections, pricing, and consumer demand trends.
    • Recommend new product lines and design directions based on insights.
    • Contribute to brand positioning strategies with data-driven inputs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with design, production, retail, and marketing teams.
    • Support launches with product training and merchandising strategies.
    • Ensure cohesive execution of brand vision across channels.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Guide and mentor junior merchandisers and cross-functional team members.
    • Lead projects from concept to execution with accountability for outcomes.
