Senior Sales Specialist-India

Kennametal Inc., a leading materials science company, seeks a skilled Senior Sales Specialist-India to join their team.
This role is responsible for driving business growth in existing and new customers within the region, while expanding market share.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and execute sales strategies for assigned geographical areas, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Evaluate end-user and channel partner needs to develop targeted plans for growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and end-users to foster partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of projects to drive annual sales growth plans.
- Stay informed about the latest technology developments and product innovations to keep customers up-to-date.
- Monitor market changes to ensure opportunities align with company strategy.
- Support team sales initiatives by sharing relevant information for assigned accounts.
- Provide regular progress and forecast reports to management.
- Anticipate spending 80% of time in front of end-users/customers.
- Manage customer accounts payable and ensure timely collection.
- Continuously improve current knowledge of existing and new products and services.
Requirements:
- Engineering graduate in Mechanical or Industrial Production with 8+ years of experience in Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Methods/Process Engineering, or Sales/Application.
- Competent in understanding and communicating product and technical information.
- Able to assess customer needs competently.
- Proficient in computer skills and presentation abilities, with strong drive and energy to coordinate and implement strategies.
- Strong administrative and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work with cross-functional teams.
