About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Agricultural Sourcing Director to lead our sourcing operations for red dry chillies in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement cost-efficient sourcing strategies to procure red chillies.
  • Building Supplier Relationships: Forge strong relationships with farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and traders across key chilli grown districts.
  • Supervising Field Operations: Oversee a team of Quality assurance Officers, ensuring on-ground execution aligns with procurement targets and quality standards.
  • Quality and Volume Management: Maintain consistency in quality while meeting procurement volume requirements across multiple districts.
  • Negotiating and Contracting: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing and favorable terms.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience: 5+ years in agricultural sourcing, particularly in the spice industry. Experience with red chillies.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of supply chain management tools and data analysis.
  • Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with key chilli-growing regions and proficiency in local languages (Telugu, Kannada) is an added advantage.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka for field visits.
