Job Description:

The role of a Commercial Contract Specialist is pivotal in supporting the legal function by streamlining legal review of commercial agreements and increasing efficiency for revenue/sales. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, maintaining contract records, and building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for commercial contracts according to internal guidelines.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties or internally.
  • Develop creative solutions and draft alternative terms, working closely with attorneys.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with internal policies.
  • Educate internal teams on conformity and consistency in contract terms and legal obligations.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of Legal administrative processes and legal documents.

Requirements:

  • University level degree or equivalent with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions.
  • Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing.
  • Familiarity with business operations desirable.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with commercial contract management and understanding of contract and commercial law.
  • Adept in use of digital tools, document systems, and MS Office.
