Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned culinary professional to join our team as a Kitchen Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of menu items according to company recipes and standards.
  • Maintain advanced knife handling skills and work efficiently in any kitchen section.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of culinary terms and adhere to food safety guidelines.
  • Read, understand, and prepare recipe documents, and maintain assigned areas clean and organized.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions and adhere to kitchen rules and regulations regarding personal appearance, uniform, and hygiene.
Financial Management
  • Optimize costs through proper use, handling, and maintenance of records, supplies, and equipment.
Promotional Opportunities
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications and Education
  • 4+ years of experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Culinary school degree required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with personalized services, including needs assessment techniques and guest satisfaction evaluation methods.
