Job Title:
Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for you to combine development and operations knowledge to drive business growth.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of our products and processes.

You will be responsible for tackling complex development, automation, and business process problems. Your technical expertise in cloud operations, SDLC, and Observability tools will help us achieve our goals.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for making things better for peers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Enlighten, enable, and empower multi-disciplinary teams across multiple applications and locations.
  • Tackle complex development, automation, and business process problems. Champion company standards and best practices.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and resilience of company products and processes.
  • Work with product development teams, Cloud Automation, and other engineering teams to identify and resolve observability gaps.
  • Identify recurring problems and anti-patterns in development, operational, and security processes and help respective teams build observability.
  • Develop, build, test, and deployment automation that targets multiple on-premises and AWS regions.
  • Contribute to Open-Source projects.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and track record working in distributed teams.
  • A passion for making things better for peers.
  • Experience managing AWS services and operational knowledge of managing applications in AWS – ideally via automation.
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (preferably Agile).
  • Experience with Observability (Logging, Metrics, Tracing) and SLI/SLO.
  • Working with APM, monitoring, and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk).
  • Good understanding of containerization concepts: Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshooting and responding to incidents, setting a standard for others to prevent issues in the future.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
  • Experience managing 3-tier application stacks.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
  • Experience on Server configuration through Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Working experience with NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Couchbase, Postgres.
  • Using APM data to troubleshoot and find performance bottlenecks.
