Cloud Architect Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The Cloud Architect Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based systems and services that run on various platforms, including AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE, and RedHat OpenShift. This involves developing a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns based on our product portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing end-to-end container management solutions, including cloud automation with AWS, Azure, and others.
  2. Building and deploying Docker containers to break up monolithic applications into microservices, improving developer workflow, increasing scalability, and optimizing speed.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, elastic scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  4. Providing expertise in setting up Kubernetes clusters and designing HA/DR strategies.
  5. Identifying and correcting operational problems across different technology layers in a Linux environment.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of core architectural concepts, including distributed computing, scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Experience with key DevOps technologies, including Docker, Cloud Formation, AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Code Deploy, and AWS Code Commit CI/CD services.
  • Proficiency in GIT or SVN revision control.
  • In-depth knowledge of deploying, managing, and monitoring AWS Cloud Infrastructure, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ELB, RDS, and network security.
  • Experience in cloud formation to orchestrate AWS services, including VPC, EC2 instances, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Lambda, backups, patches, and scaling instances.
  • Mastery of migration strategy to move applications to the cloud, with prior experience of migration on-premise workloads onto AWS.
  • Ability to design the AWS network architecture, including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets.
