Accounting Manager Position

This is a senior accounting role that requires overseeing the financial health of an organization.

  • Manage accounting operations to ensure compliance with legal requirements in various jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate accounting activities, including management information system reporting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support bookkeeping, management information system reporting, and accounts payable/accounts receivable activities for US accounting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, as well as timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Contribute to corporate budget and forecasting initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop efficient procedures and resource utilization while maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Advise team members on non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Collaborate with the auditor to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to guarantee all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensure strict adherence to outlined processes and industry best practices.
  • Take ownership of work and team performance, meeting organizational obligations.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling, including work assignments, employee training, and employee vacations, breaks, overtime, and backup for absent employees.
  • Provide effective feedback, set goals, and help teams meet or exceed expectations.
  • Offer training to new and existing staff as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting procedures, taxation, and other statutory matters for effective core accounting and finance functions.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), relationship-building skills, and leadership abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in QuickBooks, Zoho, and Microsoft Office.
