Commercial Operations Manager Job Description

The Commercial Operations Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing finance operations and providing strategic commercial support to leadership. This individual will have a strong background in finance, preferably from the advertising or media industry, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Finance Operations
  1. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial processes.
  2. Oversee end-to-end finance operations of the revenue cycle.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  1. Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  2. Monitor and track budgets, highlighting variances and providing actionable insights.
  • Financial Reporting & Closing
  1. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports.
  3. Prepare balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
  • MIS, Audit & Compliance
  1. Develop comprehensive MIS for management decision-making.
  2. Coordinate with auditors and ensure smooth audit closures.
  3. Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and internal controls.
  • Stakeholder Management
  1. Liaise with internal teams and external partners for finance-related matters.
  2. Provide financial insights and commercial support to leadership for strategic decisions.
  • Key Responsibilities
  1. Handle special assignments or projects as directed by senior management.
