Key Responsibilities:

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a raw material store, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

The following tasks are integral to this position:

  • Managing receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance for raw materials
  • Ensuring proper labeling, identification, and storage of raw materials according to SOPs and regulatory requirements
  • Conducting regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock
  • Coordinating with Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials without disruption
  • Maintaining a FIFO/FEFO system for material issuance
  • Monitoring storage conditions (temperature, humidity, cleanliness) to maintain material quality
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements for raw material handling
  • Managing documentation including GRNs, stock registers, bin cards, and SAP/ERP entries
  • Identifying slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinating for proper disposal as per guidelines
  • Supporting audits (internal/external) by ensuring documentation accuracy and store readiness

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Science/Commerce or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in raw material store management (preferably in pharmaceuticals/medical devices/ manufacturing industry)
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques (FIFO, FEFO, JIT)
  • Strong understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory compliance related to raw material handling
