Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for securing and managing the sourcing of key raw materials essential for manufacturing solar mounting structures, transmission towers, and wind towers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize production demands and market conditions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and maintain a robust supply chain.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve procurement-related issues.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for steel products and adjust purchasing plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively to balance availability and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier evaluations.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement in steel or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficient in procurement SAP applications.

Important Note: The role requires strong organisational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of import/export procedures and supplier compliance, as well as the ability to support vendor development and conduct periodic supplier audits for quality and delivery performance.
