Job Title: Material Quality Control Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and sand used in our production process meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incoming Raw Material Inspection:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, including pig iron, CRC scrap, ferroalloys, and other additives.
  • Evaluate chemical and physical parameters to ensure conformity to process specifications.
Sand Testing and Evaluation

You will be responsible for performing regular testing of Green Sand, No Bake Sand, and Neno Sand to ensure they meet the required standards.

  • Evaluate sand parameters, such as AFS grain fineness, SiO₂ %, Moisture %, Compactability, and Green Strength.
Chemical Analysis

You will be conducting chemical analysis of ductile iron parameters, including %C (Carbon), %Si (Silicon), %Mn (Manganese), %P (Phosphorus), %S (Sulfur), %Mg (Magnesium), %Al (Aluminum), and %VM (Volatile Matter).

Hardness & Mechanical Testing

You will be conducting Brinell/Rockwell hardness tests as part of the quality control process and evaluating the results.

  • Evaluate microstructure where required.
Laboratory Standards and Documentation

You will be maintaining documentation and test reports according to ISO, NABL, and internal quality standards.

  • Ensure laboratory procedures comply with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and customer audit requirements.
CML Testing Support

You will be assisting in CML testing and analysis for validation of material specifications.

Audit and Compliance Support

You will be participating in internal and external audits (ISO, NABL, customer audits) and preparing relevant documents.

  • Maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/B.Sc in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in foundry or material testing lab.
  • Hands-on experience with spectrometers, sand testing equipment, and mechanical testing tools.
