Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Sales Manager to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and providing exceptional technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in their efforts to be cost-effective, using effective value-added selling techniques to outline the benefits of our products.
  • Grow market share in assigned territory; Meet or exceed annual territory budgeted forecast.
  • Meet or exceed division's average selling prices in the core product lines to maintain profitability levels.
  • Identify and communicate industry trends, territory activities, competitive activity, and customer requirements to ensure that Chem-Trend can meet or exceed expectations within the industry segment and other new markets.
  • Prepare timely written and verbal reports.
  • Assure that all customer accounts are current, developing strategies with customers to ensure timely payments, as required.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers through regular contact with decision-makers, corporate management, and influential personnel at any level.
  • Sell all assigned product lines to customers to secure market-place position.
  • Use product selection criteria to ensure the best product or technology is offered to customers to provide customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Develop and present proposals to customers to promote the Chem-Trend Advantage.
  • Conduct training for customers to ensure proper application of products by operators.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and troubleshoot product and process issues.
  • Conduct product trials for new product developments and provide feedback to the technical staff and the laboratory.
  • Effectively utilize the company's resources in managing the day-to-day operation of the territory.
  • Handle all products in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate internally to develop new products and improve existing products to meet customer needs.
  • Enhance Chem-Trend's image of superior technology, sales and technical service across the industry through direct contact with corporate and technical headquarters of customers, professional organizations and industry suppliers.
  • Establish good working relationships with back end teams/operations.
  • Support Channel partners and customers with timely problem-solving and general product information.
  • Developing and delivering technical presentations to customers.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers and channel partners as required; evaluate new product technology.
  • Develop sales and value selling skills to assigned customers.
  • Monitor activity of new product introductions to bring forth timely testing of new products into the field.
  • Report competitor activity, such as product, performance, and personnel changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • 4-6 years of experience in sales and technical service, preferably in the chemical specialty field.
  • Experience in value selling.
  • Team Player and ability to travel regularly.
  • Preference will be given working with Thermoplastics industry/Footwear industry.
