Backend Developer Job Opportunity

This is a role for an experienced software engineer who will be working on developing and maintaining high-performance, secure backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex, data-driven applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.

The job involves building and managing RESTful APIs and microservices for fintech and payment systems, leading the design of system architecture and database schema, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing integration with third-party services, including sandbox/live environment testing and compliance validation, and participating in code audits and threat modelling.

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in Git, version control workflows, and collaboration tools, as well as knowledge of security best practices, encryption, authentication/authorization flows, and regulatory compliance in fintech.

Required Skills:

  • 7–10 years of strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
  • Proficiency with Oracle DB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, including complex queries and database performance optimization.
  • Deep understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Experience in cloud-based deployments, ideally on Oracle Cloud or similar platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in Git, version control workflows, and collaboration tools.
  • Practical understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
