Key Position: Dimensional Management Expert

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Dimensional Management Expert.

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for defining measurement systems, locator strategies, and tolerance specifications for Body in White components and exterior trims.
  • They must ensure that the measurement system is robust from part fabrication to complete Body in White assembly.
  • This role involves analyzing the functional requirements of Body in White and creating a measurement strategy for module fitment.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders is crucial to aligning tolerance concepts and discussing solutions.
  • Performing 1D, 2D, or 3D tolerance stack-up studies during the development phase is essential to identifying potential risks in production and providing solutions.
  • The candidate will also execute tolerance simulations in 3DCS to replicate the production process digitally and validate the robustness of the concept.
  • Quality and timely delivery are key performance indicators for this role, ensuring that every project meets expectations.
  • Creating gap and flush plans and concepts to achieve visual quality standards for vehicles is another critical responsibility.
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams is necessary to incorporate feedback and provide solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will create and align sub-module integration concepts to ensure fitment and meet production planning requirements.
  • Aligning closure integration concepts with gap and flush plans is also essential to fulfill vehicle requirements.
