Job Description:

This is a challenging role that involves creating and implementing sourcing strategies for various commodities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and be able to analyze spend and identify cost-out opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying regional commodity strategies, identifying suppliers, and monitoring commodity trends. They will also have a sound knowledge of imports, should cost, and cost sheets for each part in the related commodity.

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop strong supplier relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and analyze spend to identify cost-out opportunities. They will also be responsible for initiating and leading cost-reduction projects to drive cost-outs as per the profit plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering
  • 10-12 years of experience in sourcing, supplier development, and procurement in an engineering company, preferably in the auto component industry
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in product costing and formulating commercial contracts
