Maintenance Planning Team Lead

About the Role:

">

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planning Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance planners, schedulers, and permit writers in developing detailed plans and schedules to execute planned maintenance and project work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Coordinate planning and scheduling of routine maintenance work performed by various crafts.">
  3. Provide SME support on planning, estimating, and scheduling for Chevron-executed project work.">
  4. Ensure high-quality work packages consistent with Chevron standards.">
  5. Drive accountability regarding standard planning and estimating tools/practices and promote growth/development of planners/schedulers.">
  6. Deliver quality execution work plans, updates scope status, and forecasts. Collaborate with site representatives to determine work scope executed by maintenance teams.">
  7. Work closely with Operations to integrate schedules into operating plans effectively.">
  8. Partner with Asset Maintenance Team Leads to feed planned work into asset integrated plans/workflows and prepares work for the field.">
  9. Develop tools to streamline cost/execution forecasting accuracy and reports on status at individual project/portfolio levels. Identify opportunities to improve planning/scheduling accuracy and remove inefficiencies.">
  10. Integrate Chevron-executed scope into master project schedules with Construction Services teams.">
  11. Clearly communicate scope progress to customers/stakeholders/team members. Assist in growing Routine/Planned Maintenance work process competency within the ENGINE.">
  12. Ensure Lessons Learned reviews are completed for each FEL event and drive subsequent improvement initiatives.">
  13. Support backlog management proactively.">
  14. Responsible for developing/improving maintenance resource forecasting for 5-year Work Plan/Budget.">
  15. Participates in hiring/organizational design as required.">
  16. Supports succession planning discussions with leadership teams for ENGINE maintenance and turnaround organizations.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

">
  • ">
  • Degree in relevant Engineering or Maintenance Discipline.">
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience in a Maintenance Planning Leadership Position.">
  • Strong technical background in planning/scheduling tools – JDE, SAP, Prometheus, Primavera P6.">
  • Understanding of planning processes including constructability, advanced work packaging, work planning (schedule/resources/cost), project scoping, contract planning/management, progress measurement/controls, and materials management.">
  • Knowledgeable in core maintenance and technical project planning/scheduling industry best practices. Experience with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation/controls, fabrication, inspection, and related disciplines, preferably in LNG facilities.">
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing site staff.">
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain logistics to ensure all work can be completed in remote locations.">
  • Time management skills to drive effective communications between staff and maintainable assets.">
