Audit and Assurance Expert Role

Our team of auditors provides valuable insights to clients by utilizing their skills and experience to give confidence in financial statements and business-critical information or processes.

We work with various audit firms globally, including the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. Join us in our Statutory Audit team and help clients meet reporting requirements by providing an objective examination of financial statements.

  • Perform complex audit procedures while building technical competence.
  • Act as the primary contact for audit clients and provide ongoing professional development through diverse experiences.

The role involves working on audit engagements, developing and exhibiting a command of audit techniques and methods, and ensuring best business practices are in place with client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with audit clients and engagement teams.
  • Direct field work and inform engagement leaders of audit engagement status timely.
  • Complete audit procedures and documentation for higher risk areas, including revenue, expenses, PPE, financial instruments, and income taxes.
  • Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and prepare draft financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102).
  • Ensure all work papers are complete, consistent, and contain procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached with appropriate documentations.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-5 years of related work experience in a similar audit practice firm. Experience with Big 4 or Big 10 will be an advantage.

Experience in accounts preparation under FRS 102 and relevant applicable standards will be an advantage. A qualified U.S. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or sufficient coursework to achieve US CPA certification in the US state of primary work location is also required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry-specific standards.

A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is essential, along with a minimum of 1-5 years of experience in a similar audit practice firm. Experience with Big 4 or Big 10 firms will be highly valued.

Candidates must also have a qualified U.S. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or sufficient coursework to achieve US CPA certification in the US state of primary work location.
