Senior Lending Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Lending Manager to oversee a team of analysts supporting commercial real estate lending operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Delivery:
    • Lead and mentor analysts processing loan applications, credit documentation, and portfolio management.
    • Ensure timely delivery in line with service level agreements and key performance indicators with a 98%+ right-first-time documentation accuracy.
    • Track, review, and report team performance; conduct regular feedback and coaching sessions.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Enforce adherence to lending policies, standards, and criteria.
    • Review and approve credit papers/documentation prior to submission.
    • Support the use of front-end systems to monitor loan applications through approval processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the single point of contact for client stakeholders in the UK market.
    • Manage escalations, provide operational updates, and lead process alignment discussions.
    • Facilitate transparent, regular communication between India and UK teams.
  • Compliance & Risk:
    • Oversee collaboration with knowledge and compliance teams for onboarding/fraud cases.
    • Ensure compliance with UK banking regulations and client-specific policies.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting:
    • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership.
  • Training & Development:
    • Conduct training on UK commercial real estate lending practices, compliance, and systems.
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Ad Hoc:
    • Participate in UK stakeholder meetings as required.
    • Handle special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
