Job Overview

The Jhagadia Float Glass manufacturing unit is a strategic investment with the acquisition of Ms. Sezal Architectural Glass in 2011. Located at Central Gujarat, the state-of-the-art float glass plant spans 150 acres and produces 550 MT of clear glass per day.

This benchmark standard includes producing clear glass with less than 650 ppm of Iron.

The campus features an in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day.

Over a decade, the site has attracted future investments of Saint-Gobain in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation and Maintenance of electrical equipment including switchgears, transformers, motors, cranes, and lighting systems.
  • Maintenance and operation knowledge in gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators, and lightning arrestors.
  • Maintenance of automation systems, basic operations of PLC's and SCADA, and AC/DC machines.
  • Troubleshooting of circuit theory and earthing concepts, protection and metering devices, and VFD & PLC applications.
  • HV, MV & LV Power systems and equipments, electrical generation and distribution system, and energy calculations and efficiency improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance and operation of industrial electrical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLC programming, and SCADA systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
