Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing automation solutions that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions using Ignition SCADA and MES applications.
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, including SQL historian and timeseries databases, to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, scripting, module configuration, and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, including REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
