Job Title: IT Service Mapping Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled IT service mapping specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in designing, configuring, and maintaining IT service maps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design accurate, end-to-end service maps to support business operations.
  • Define entry points and configure relationships between infrastructure and applications.
  • Work with discovery processes to identify dependencies across infrastructure and applications.
  • Modify or create patterns to enhance service identification and tailor solutions to business needs.
  • Configure and manage MID servers for proper network access and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate errors in the service mapping process and outputs.
  • Validate service dependencies and support impact analysis for IT operations.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices for service mapping and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align service maps with business services.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT service mapping.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting service maps.
  • Strong expertise in discovery process (probes, sensors, dependencies, and service identification).
  • Hands-on experience with MID server configuration and network access validation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mapping issues, modify patterns, and fine-tune services.
  • Good understanding of CMDB data models and relationships.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT operations best practices is a plus.
