Transaction Monitoring/AML Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Transaction Monitoring/AML Analyst to bring their expertise to our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in KYC Sanctions Screening and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for screening individuals and entities against global sanction lists, reviewing high-risk scenarios, and identifying potential sanctions screening matches. They will also analyze alerts to identify close match/exact match hits and make recommendations to the maintenance of exception/internal lists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screening individuals and entities against global sanction lists
  • Reviewing high-risk scenarios and identifying potential sanctions screening matches
  • Analyzing alerts to identify close match/exact match hits and making recommendations
  • Fully documenting all alerts, including supporting data, analysis, and escalation or close recommendation rationale within the case management system

Requirements

  • Experience in compliance or related position
  • Familiarity with internal systems and processes or similar processes at other institutions
  • Self-starter with exceptional research and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Full-time master's degree/equivalent is an added bonus

Working Environment

This role requires strong communication and documentation skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with AML Investigations units and effectively communicate information for case investigations.
