Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Risk Manager to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong risk management skills and the ability to identify, assess, document, and review risks in our Private Bank.

The ideal candidate will have a 2:1 degree from a top university and 6+ years of experience in operational risk management in financial services. They should also have experience in private banking or wealth management and be able to design, implement, and test controls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying key risk indicators, creating and reviewing risk incident reports, and managing risk events. They will also need to develop and test key procedures and register risk events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Identification: Identify, assess, document, and review risks in our Private Bank
  • Control Design: Design, implement, and test controls
  • Procedure Development: Develop and test key procedures
  • Risk Indicators: Create and review key risk indicators
  • Risk Management: Register risk events, manage, and deliver risk incident reports
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A 2:1 degree from a top university
  • 6+ years of experience in operational risk management in financial services
  • Experience in private banking or wealth management (must have)
  • Experience with risk identification, monitoring, and controls (implementation and testing)
  • Previous examples of practically interpreting and organising complex data
  • A solid track record of achievement, having won competition awards (can be any of academic, professional, and/or sport)
  • The ability to quickly assume responsibilities
  • An organised and methodological approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
