Job Title: Data Migration Specialist

\

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the end-to-end execution of data migration activities. Collaboration with local business and functional teams is crucial, while serving as a liaison between the Global Data Migration Expert (GDME) and Data Migration Execution teams.

\

This role ensures that local requirements are accurately captured in conversion workbooks and effectively delivered during deployment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the deployment wave focal point for assigned data objects in scope for deployment or local data migration projects.\
  • Collaborating with Business Data Owners (BDOs – Global, Regional, or Local), Functional Experts, ETL teams, legacy system teams, and deployment teams.\
  • Driving migration activities for deployment projects.\
  • Verifying data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects.\
  • Managing DMW load file preparation and performing initial verification.\
  • Executing DVT scripts and supporting defect/hypercare incident resolution for assigned data objects.\
  • Coordinating defect resolution or escalating to GDMEs as needed.\
  • Providing guidance on data migration best practices and methodologies.\
  • Maintaining accurate records of data migration activities and documenting lessons learned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • \
  • 10+ years of ERP project implementation experience with strong data migration expertise.\
  • Proven experience in data migration execution across multi-country, multi-system environments.\
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.\
  • Strong understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.\
  • SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area.\
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix-based organization.\
  • Strategic and hands-on mindset with experience running meetings, tracking progress, and managing issues.\
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\
  • Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).
