Job Title: Land Acquisition Specialist

About the Role:

The Land Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects in Maharashtra.

  • This involves scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover of the acquired lands.
  • Strong relationship-building skills are essential as the candidate will need to build and maintain relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  • The Land Acquisition Specialist will oversee the entire land acquisition process, including title due diligence, Right of Way (RoW) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • In addition, the candidate will ensure clear documentation, monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives.
  • The role also involves supervising a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects across Maharashtra.
  • Manage the end-to-end land acquisition process.
  • Build relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Conduct title due diligence.
  • Ensure legal sanctity of land.
  • Oversight of Right of Way (RoW) acquisition.
