PCB CAD Engineer Role

As a skilled PCB CAD engineer, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining complex printed circuit board (PCB) layouts. You will be responsible for creating high-quality footprints, validating electrical attributes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Maintain PCB Layouts: Utilize your expertise in CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or OrCAD/Capture CIS to create accurate and efficient PCB layouts.
  • Generate High-Quality Footprints: Produce detailed footprints for surface mount devices (SMD), through-hole technology (THT), connectors, and complex IC packages according to industry standards.
  • Validate Electrical Attributes: Ensure accuracy in pin sequencing and package details by cross-checking datasheets, schematics, and footprints.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to guarantee accurate documentation and smooth library integration with ECAD/MCAD tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CAD Tools: Proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Expedition, or OrCAD/Capture CIS.
  • PLM Systems: Experience with Windchill, Target PLM, Teamcenter, or Cockpit Server.
  • Standards & Compliance: Knowledge of IPC-7351, RoHS, and REACH compliance.
  • Library Management: Skilled in creating and maintaining schematic symbols, footprints, 3D models, and part numbering systems.
