Electronics Design Expert

We are seeking an accomplished Electronics Design Expert to spearhead our design efforts.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough analysis of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and fabrication processes in Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
  • Analyze testability and generate reports on Design for Testability (DFT). Simulate mechanical assembly processes and create Design for Assembly (DFA) reports.
  • Develop DFx procedures and checklists as per customer requirements, generating reports according to findings and observations as per industry standards.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing teams to define DFx requirements and rules, ensuring adherence to targets set for all process metrics.
  • Generate timely DFx Reports for stakeholders and mentor the team towards effective deliverables.
  • Train new and existing team members on relevant software and tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis to expedite service issue resolution and prepare KPI Reports for weekly/monthly operation reviews.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience in PCBA processes, including stencil, solder paste printing, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave-soldering, assembly, and box build.
  • Excellent knowledge of IPC standards and PCB fabrication processes, including PCB layers, design, and electronics component packages.
  • Ability to define DFx procedures and checklists and knowledge of PCBA Test development processes, such as In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Circuit Testing (FCT), and Flying Probe Testing.
  • Proficiency in DFx tools, such as Vayopro, Valor NPI, and Solidworks, and 3D designs of products and simulation of product assembly processes.
  • Aptitude to work with multi-functional teams to define requirements and suitable metrics for new products and processes.
  • Experience in NPI operations, manufacturing engineering, and Continuous Process Improvement, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing principles.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-7 years' experience in electronics design, PCBA DFM processes, DFT, and DFA analysis. A B. Tech (Elect/Electronics) or Diploma (Elect/Electronics) degree is required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, good analytical skills, coaching and mentoring skills, conflict resolution, and reporting and decision-making skills are mandatory.
