This role is part of our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems team, responsible for developing state-of-the-art automated driving systems for worldwide deployment.

As a Software Architect, you will support the development of future ADAS system generations, which will enable our vehicles to progress to full autonomous driving by 2030.

You will work on specific software functionalities developments to build in-house software modules, maximizing component reusability and robustness in the future landscape of autonomous driving.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Undertake various tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team to mentor junior SW engineers and communicate findings through presentations and reporting.
  • Understand requirements and design high-level architecture and decompose it into detailed design.
  • Mentor junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices, and DevOps trade-offs.
  • Create software detailed designs and support their implementation in software and API interfaces required from internal teams.
  • Develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
  • Clearly understand API design for extensibility and portability of software across multiple implementations.
  • Liaise with global teams within Jaguar Land Rover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 8+ years of experience with at least 3+ years of experience in application design and development.
  • Experience in complex automotive projects owning low-level design, implementation, and validation.
  • Design and development of software solutions in AUTOSAR.
  • Programming languages like C/C++.
  • Agile SW development process.
  • IPC mechanisms.
  • Adaptive AUTOSAR based Communication and Diagnostic stack.
  • Automotive SW middleware platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns.
  • ISO26262.
