System Engineer Role

As a key contributor to our technology team, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable, high-performance systems that power our platform. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle – from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the Development Lifecycle: Take full ownership of features – from system design and architecture through deployment, monitoring, and refinement.
  • Build with Purpose: Write clean, modular, and maintainable code that meets high standards for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver impactful features that solve real-world problems.
  • Solve Complex Challenges: Tackle difficult problems in distributed systems, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve system reliability.
  • Lead by Example: Help set technical direction, drive engineering best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Architect for Scale: Design and implement microservices-based architectures to support our growing platform.
Requirements:
  • Backend Development Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience with backend frameworks such as NestJS or equivalent.
  • Frontend Development Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience with frontend frameworks such as React and/or React Native.
  • Cloud & DevOps:
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS or equivalent.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and infrastructure as code.
  • System Architecture:
  • Expertise in building and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural discussions.
  • Communication:
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills – you can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience working in fast-paced tech environments.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL or WebSockets.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
