Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Guest Service Associate to join our team. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive and personalized service.

  • Serving Food and Beverages: Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Table Setting: Set tables according to type of event and service standards, ensuring a visually appealing and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Menu Selections: Answer questions on menu selections, making recommendations as needed to enhance the guest experience.
  • Kitchen Communication: Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability to ensure seamless execution.
  • Special Requests: Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen to accommodate guests' needs.
  • Transaction Recording: Record transactions in our system at time of order, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely processing.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day, adhering to high standards of quality and hygiene.
  • Closing Duties: Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc., to ensure a smooth transition to the next shift.
  • Payment Processing: Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment in a secure and efficient manner.
  • Company Policies: Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Uniform and Appearance: Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
  • Guest Interactions: Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Communication: Speak with others using clear and professional language, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others to reach common goals.
  • Quality Expectations: Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, reading and visually verifying information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
  • Physical Demands: Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
  • License or Certification: None.
