This is a high-impact role that demands a strong foundation in accounting and international financial reporting. As part of strengthening our financial leadership, we are looking to onboard an experienced professional who will oversee end-to-end accounting and book closure activities across all geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee the overall accounting strategy and day-to-day finance operations.
  • Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Handle reconciliations related to capital assets, trust accounts, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a deep understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Drive timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures as per company expectations.
  • Assist with daily banking requirements, including accurate processing of positive pay transactions.
  • Collaborate with the entire finance team and management to align with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and use of resources within the department.
  • Train and advise team members on handling routine financial reporting and transactions.
  • Design and implement MIS reporting formats, deliver standalone and consolidated reports to management on a monthly basis.
  • Address queries from stakeholders related to financial results or ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Supervise the general ledger team to ensure timely compliance with all financial reporting deadlines.
  • Support the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and departmental workflows.
  • Work on special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and system optimization.

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, or semi-qualified professionals with 8-9 years of relevant combined experience.
  • Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations and managing general ledger processes across multiple entities.
  • Solid understanding of Income Tax and GST provisions, with practical application to day-to-day transactions.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently across teams and with leadership.
  • A proactive, smart, and self-motivated professional with a positive attitude.
  • Hands-on experience with ZOHO and Tally is essential.
  • Zoho certification required.
  • Comfortable and efficient in using AI tools for productivity enhancement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
