Electrolyzer Power Electronics Lead

The successful candidate will spearhead the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for power electronics systems driving electrolyzer stack innovation.

  • Technical Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy for power electronics systems ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Design and Development: Oversee the design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of high-efficiency rectifier and DC-DC converter systems (10 kW to >5 MW) optimized for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of power electronics engineers and technicians fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including component vendors, contract manufacturers, and external design partners.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant grid codes, EMC/EMI standards, UL, IEC, IEEE, or other regulatory frameworks protecting the organization's reputation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive Technical Innovation: Identify and develop cutting-edge technologies enhancing electrolyzer performance and efficiency.
  • Optimize System Performance: Collaborate with systems and stack engineering teams to integrate control strategies aligning with operational requirements.
  • Develop Firmware Architecture: Design and implement firmware architectures, coding standards, testing, and release processes prioritizing reliability and maintainability.
